" Fireballs explode in mid-air, flames leap out of the hotel roof and there are about a hundred lasers that look like a particularly advanced form of inter-galactic warfare and motorised hang-gliders dropping from the sky and the kind of portentous bom-bom-bom music that makes you think you’re going to have a heart attack."

THE GUARDIAN SUNDAY 31 MAY 2009
‘And then there were the 60 trucks of equipment. And the eight-and-a-half tonnes of fireworks with “enough explosives to blow up Antalya”. In fact, on the evening, it does, at points, seem like Antalya might have come under an al-Qaida attack, if al-Qaida were to rethink their strategy and use undercover dancers inside Perspex floating balls or suicide aerial acrobats.
Fireballs explode in mid-air, flames leap out of the hotel roof and there are about a hundred lasers that look like a particularly advanced form of inter-galactic warfare and motorised hang-gliders dropping from the sky and the kind of portentous bom-bom-bom music that makes you think you’re going to have a heart attack.
It’s truly spectacular. And I don’t say that lightly - fireworks are fireworks, after all - but this is more like an incendiary symphony. According to Alekber, it took 300 people 45 days to pull it together, the same people who did Beijing, “only ours is better”. ‘

DAILY MAIL 26 MAY 2009
‘The party itself is a jaw-dropping extravaganza of excess. The fireworks display goes on for nearly an hour, and 600 party guests are treated to Cirque de Soleil-style acrobats on tightropes suspended hundreds of feet overhead. Paragliders soar in the sky above, each bearing one letter of the hotel’s name, while dancers perform in giant clear glass bubbles on the surface of the enormous swimming pool.’

THE OBSERVER SUNDAY 31 MAY 2009
‘....With the Beluga and the Bollinger and a firework show but more like the opening of the Beijing Olympics - only instead of being for a billion or so people worldwide its for a select audience of 600...’

LIGHTING & SOUND AMERICA 5 JUNE 2009
‘The end of May saw the spectacular opening ceremony of the five-star Mardan Palace hotel in Antalya, Turkey drawing an illustrious international presence of celebrities and press. LSE, the Belgian based multi-media show company, worked with long-time collaborator Tara W. Smith, the Australian creative director of Stargrace Ltd, to create an unforgettable visual experience for the opening. “The evening was very well received,” states Smith. “We even had ladies in the audience crying with emotion over the Imagination scene, so we knew we were reaching our audience!”’

THE STATESMAN - 18 MAY 2008
“This is the first laser and water work show that is being showcased in India and making it a success will be a great experience. The idea is to enhance creativity and awaken the child in every one of us. The introduction of this creative animation show is going to appeal to huge audiences across the length and breadth of the country.”
The laser work has been developed and produced by Tara W Smith of London, who has created similar magic in Las Vegas, Dubai and, yes, Sentosa Island. She says, “I wanted to launch such a show in India and this is my first project. It has taken me one and half years to blend ‘Fantasia Magic’ into reality.”

MIDDAY NEWS 27 APRIL 2008
Based on the theme of magic, the show wonderfully synchronises three lasers, three video projectors, 3D animation, lighting, water work, smell machine and fire work, thereby giving the viewer a sensory feel.
Though the show is created by foreigners, the story is Indianised. According to Tara Smith, it took a year to coordinate all the elements and make the show. “It was a difficult but wonderful experience,” says Smith, who has traveled organised shows all across the world.

SKYSCRAPER NEWS - 6 MAY 2008
“The Ishanya laser and water works show - Fantasia Magic -- is simply great! I loved it! The music, lights and water fountains make the story of “Micky” even more interesting. Bahut mazaa aaya!! I will tell all my friends to see it. This first of it kind laser & water works show is nothing like what India has seen before. This kind of show is only seen at Disney or Sentosa Island Singapore. Making it happen was altogether a great experience. It enhances creativity and awakens the child in every one of us. The launch of this creative animation show is sure to attract large audiences not only from Pune and Mumbai but all parts of India.” .
